Gtpministries.org – People who are loyal and responsible for something can be said to be people who have commitment. This can happen because of a commitment to God, a commitment to oneself, a commitment to other people, and a commitment to nature. People who are committed to their work performance can implement the five work culture values โโof the Ministry of Religion, namely integrity, professionalism, innovation, responsibility and example.
It is clear to us that commitment is not an easy thing. This is associated with commitment to an agreement or oath when appointed to a position. By raising one hand to form the letter V above the Bible, we have a commitment, promising to carry out the duties of office with full trust and joy of faith.
The story of Abram in Genesis 15: 1 โ 21 contains God’s commitment to Abram and Abram’s commitment to God. There are several promises from God to Abram. First, don’t be afraid to show that His presence gives you peace. Second, God becomes a shield that protects him. Third, God promises enormous rewards. Whatever Abram does, He will bless his work and reward him.
Fourth, He promised children to Abram at the age of 75 years. In the process of faithfulness waiting 25 years, at the age of 100 Abram had a son named Isaac from his wife Sarai. His descendants will become a great nation like the many stars in the sky and his name will become famous. Not only that, Abram and his descendants became a people blessed by God by occupying a land stretching from the Egyptian river to the Euphrates river.
Well, this is an incredible guarantee. When Abram responded to God’s promise, he committed to be faithful and do what He said. Abram became a person who was blessed with the faithfulness of his faith and it was counted by God as righteousness. He is known as the Father of the faithful.
As God’s people who serve the nation and state, we certainly have a commitment of faith and a promise to carry out our duties and responsibilities with an attitude of fearing God and relying on God in every job we undertake. His promise of inclusion applies to those who are obedient and faithful in carrying out His word in all areas of life. Work diligently and be committed to being disciplined, firm, honest and faithful in carrying out your duties and functions as a citizen.
Regarding the commitment that we have worked well, perhaps this requires a process and is not easy. On the other hand, if it is done with the joy of faith, then everything will be taken into account by God through rewards in every job and offspring that are blessed by God so that it will have a positive impact on the good name of the family.
Remember, that God is a shield that protects and accompanies us. Remain firm in your commitment to faith. It is true that as humans we often experience complaints and doubts about life. Therefore, humans can only guess, but God determines the path of life.
