…. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power….

1 Cor 4:20

Welcome Under the Almond Tree, am sure you were blessed by the message from 1 Sam 2:9 yesterday; He will keep the feet of his saints. Glory to God that our feet are kept by God because we are his saints.!!!

Today I like you to see the essence of our existence.  Among many things that God provides us, God wishes that we who are his saints, who believe and are saved by Him, should go into the world to establish his kingdom in every sphere of our endeavors.  As stated in Matt 6v33, we are to seek his Kingdom first and all other things will be added unto us.  This kingdom is not in word, but in power.

How does it mean for the Kingdom to be in power?

We can learn from the approach of God in Gen 1:1 –24, When God saw the situation of the world as poor, he did not go about complaining, he stepped out to act.  He gave the command for light to be, he spoke the seas and the mountains to be, he literally did something about what was wrong in the world.  It was his action that created our existence today.  I draw therefore that what this verse portends, among other meanings is the need for the believer in Christ to be a catalyst of more action and less of complaining or talking.  God is more interested in demonstrations that lead to gain and results.

We are to be doers of the word, to act and impose the power of God and his wisdom to fix problems and stop complaining like everyone.  He wants us to display the signs of a believer, and the signs of a person with God in him.  Mark 16v17&18; These signs must follow us…if we believe, in his name we cast out devils…and every other good work because he that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.  If you believe that you are saved, a saint, and one in Christ, then you ought to step out to demonstrate his power…Be the person that God will express his power through you to solve the problems of others.

The Kingdom is not in words, talking, grumbling, etc.  The Kingdom is in power: doing something in faith in the name of Christ to correct the wrong things. As you rest, think on it, and demonstrate faith in those things that are wrong around you.  Start to act out the word.  Your action in faith will bring good than words.
